With a vision for building something meaningful, our founder brings a blend of big-picture thinking and hands-on experience. They set the tone for everything we do.
Jelena Shuman is an interior architect and designer based in New York City and founder of Narona Design. Her work blends spatial logic with a strong sensitivity to atmosphere, materiality, and human experience.
Originally from the Dalmatian Coast, Jelena’s journey from California to New York shaped a design perspective that balances European sensibility with the dynamism of the American city. Over more than 15 years, she has worked across residential, hospitality, and workplace environments, specializing in space planning, lighting design, and interior architecture.
Her professional path includes collaborations with leading design studios and brands, including Lumens and Nichole Fuller Interiors, whose work has been recognized by publications such as ELLE Decor and Luxe. Jelena also appeared as a guest designer on HGTV’s Room Crashers, further expanding her creative range.
Through Narona Design, Jelena works with clients to translate ideas into refined, emotionally resonant spaces.
